Lambach Aircraft’s current “flagship” project is to design, build and fly a model aircraft that will compete in the 2017-2018 British Model Flying Association (BMFA) Payload challenge.

The BMFA payload challenge is a competition where student teams
from around the world compete by designing, building and flying a model aircraft which can carry as much payload as possible with a given propulsion system. The payload this year consists of an amount of water and a dummy sensor.

Lambach Aircraft’s current first year, board and older members are working several evenings a week to build and test the model aircraft. The final design is complete and we are now in the production stage. The critical components like the wing ribs, water tank holders, … are milled out with our CNC machine.

Stay tuned for updates on the project!
