Today marked the first day of vacuum infusing of the wings!
In preparation of celebrating kingsday, we present our new logo for project 'Aurora"!
Nuclear energy has proven to be a very reliable and sustainable energy source on small scales. Our engineers are implementing this long lasting power solution into the UAV, ensuring a flight time of over 20 years! ... See more
Of course we want to make the most optimal use of the energy available. Therefore two of our team members focuses on the flight path optimizations. Together with the “aerodynamicists” they continuously optimize the flight performance of the UAV. ... See more
To ensure the safety of our UAV we do a lot of testing. For example; before implementing the flight control software into the wing, we are testing it in various ways to make sure all components and pieces of software work together coherently. We use a testbed, made of recycled materials, to have an accessible platform to test new components. Also we use existing RC models to validate its performance. #uav #drone #aerospace #aerospaceengineering #rcplane #arduino #testing ... See more
Let us tell you a bit about our aerodynamic design. Regular aircraft in turns experience adverse jaw; the wing tip that rises induces more drag, causing the plane to slip in the wrong direction. To counteract this, planes have a vertical tail. As we’re designing an tailless aircraft, we have come up with an aerodynamic design, involving a bell-shaped lift distribution, which does not need any vertical sections on the wing. The bell-shaped lift distribution, first found by Ludwig Prandl, involves a certain wing twist to create a proverse jaw, making the wing correct itself in the turns. #uav #drone #aerospace #tudelft #aerodynamics #nasa ... January 19th 1990 marked the official moment that Lambach Aircraft was founded. Honoring the 9th lustrum of the vsv ‘Leonardo da Vinci’, a group of students decided to build their own aircraft. 29 years, numerous projects and several achievements later, we hope to continue with the same perseverance as our predecessors did. Happy birthday Lambach Aircraft! @ Lambach Aircraft ... See more
Each year-end marks a new beginning. We hope 2019 will bring us many opportunities to learn, to explore and to experience! Happy new year from Lambach Aircraft!
A merry Christmas and a happy new year from Lambach Aircraft! We wish you a nice time together with your family and friends and we hope 2019 will be prosperous!
