Our team comprises of talented university students, most of which coming from the Delft University of Technology, Aerospace Engineering tracks.

The board members support the organization of our work and our designs, while all other team members mainly specialize on the design of one particular subsystem of the UAV, structures, aerodynamics, electronics, and so on.

Since some of the subjects at BSc AE are too theoretical for me, I sought a place where I could see the theory put into practice. Being part of Lambach aircraft allows me to see the practical side of studying engineering.

While the AE bachelor contains plenty of projects big and small, Lambach seemed to me a good opportunity to work on a project without the many constraints, set goals and simplifications set by the educators. Working towards the goal of winning the competition should be a lot of fun.

Engineering is a kind of art for me; it lets me express myself in a functional way, lets me connect with people to solve problems for society and can be just beautiful at the same time. Lambach is exactly that, and I believe that together as a team we can do engineering masterpieces!

What I like about engineering is seeing a design take shape and form. TU Delft teaches us how to design, but rarely actually allows us to build that design to see how it would perform. I joined lambach to participate in the entire design process, from idea to real life.

Ever since I was young, I’ve enjoyed everything (I mean it, everything!) even remotely related to aviation. With Lambach, I was given the chance to design UAVs myself, but also to learn a lot about manufacturing. I can proudly say I now have a feel for the ease of manufacturing when I work on a design. I’ve been in the society for several years now, which allowed me to gain experience also into running the society and the projects. I’m the ‘go to’ person in the team for scheduling, resources management or pretty much anything else!

I’ve always been fascinated by how we are able to make things fly, and in Lambach I have an amazing opportunity to see first hand how an aircraft is designed from scratch using theory learnt in the classrooms

I joined this society to explore my passion for building model aircraft. Ever since I was in high school, I have been tinkering around with all sorts of electronics: be in microcontrollers, servos or 3D printers. Lambach provides the ideal opportunity to hone such interests. P.S. my dream is to work on earth-orbiting planes to track climate change data.

Aircraft are nice, but have you ever tried designing one?

I am a big fan of creating a good feeling and understanding of what theory looks like in practice. A fundamental approach to understanding and engineering can result in better designs and system performances. I believe that Lambach can give students this feeling through the UAV design process.

I have always had an interest in science and engineering which is why I came to the Netherlands to study aerospace. Lambach appealed to me because I am looking to experience every phase of the aircraft design, production and finally testing. I am very exited about joining Lambach and applying what I have learnt in lectures and project to an actual aircraft design from start to finish.
